Emmett and Marjorie Sloan of Ponca City celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Saturday, the 26th of
October 2002. The Sloans were married at First Assembly of God church in McCracken, Kansas. They moved from Stratton, Colorado to Ponca City in 1984 after Emmett retired from Farmland Co-Op. Marjorie is presently the Office Manager at the Ponca City YMCA. The Sloans have 3 children, Howard & Ruth Ann Sissel of Ponca City; Norma & Larry Leiker of Topeka, Kansas and Gail & DeWayne Nickels of Arlington, Texas. They have 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Cards, letters, emails or phone calls would be appreciated in honor of this special occasion.
