The cover of the second McCracken history book has a picture of the two new bins at the elevator. Now we have three bins and the cell tower added to our skyline.

Doug Higgins is the radio announcer for the Lyons High school girl basketball team. He does a great job and the address is on face book.

Austin McGaughey was admitted to the Dodge City hospital last Tuesday morning where he had his tonsils removed. He returned home that evening and is doing well.

Mylo and Ann Oyler, Plano, Texas, Stan and Terry Oyler, Hutchinson and Shirley Higgins enjoyed watching the Hutchinson girls’ basketball game in Hutchinson Friday night. Jenna Higgins and her team mate Shayla DeGarma combined to outscore Salina South 22-7 early in the second quarter and late into the third. Jenna had 17 points for the game. The final score was Hutch 48, Salina 34.

I just finished reading ‘The Boys in the Boat’ by Daniel James Brown, a true story about the 1936 Olympic Rowing Team. It is a good read.

We hope you all enjoyed Valentine’s Day, the gals received either flowers, candy or maybe both. I received homemade cookies from Brooklyn NY.....a lovely surprise from Lauren Shapiro.

Jared Casey, son of Jerry and Karen Casey, Plainville, competed in the Regional Free Throw Contest in Quinter and placed first. Congrats Jared!! He will now compete in State competition.
