Tom and Susie Mills and son Skyler of Converse, Louisiana were Thursday visitors of Addie, Marty and Tina Mills. They were enroute home from the races at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Tom is the son of the late Cecil and Mary Mills.

Out sympathy to Dale Monroe on the death of her beloved husband, Dale. He died on Thursday, August 15 at his home. Dale was a 1951 graduate of Hoisington High School. He served 25 years in the Air Force. He and his wife have lived 13 years in McCracken.

There will be a work weekend on Saturday August 31-2013 from 9-12:00 and/or 2-5! Debi will be there the entire time! Sunday schedule 11-5 whenever anyone can work! Taylor Stull is again enrolled at Bethany College. He left for school August 2 for football practice.

Tanner Higgins has enrolled at Hutchinson Juco, Katie Showalter is attending Ft. Hays State and Carly Derr will also attend Ft. Hays.

A nice crowd attended the rodeo get-to-gather Sunday evening at the rodeo grounds to socialize, eat and watch this year's rodeo on DVD. It is very good. Jeff Hurd, husband of Kathy Lovitt, is a trainer for the Kansas City Chiefs football team.

Brooke Blackwell of the Hays Striders Track and field Club, finished second in the javelin last weekend at the AAU/USA Junior Olympic games in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Teresa Lovitt is the new women's volleyball coach at Dodge City Community College.

A 9th birthday party was held for Karri Groff at the home of her grandparents, Bob and Carrie House.

The Frog Hollow slo-pitch softball team played in the state softball tournament in Manhattan this past week end. Team members are Steven Morgan, Donnie Dreher, Darrin Murray, Heath Morgan, Kyle Wherry, Dave Wilson, Dana Jay, Scott Littler, Clay Morse, Ronnie Seltman, Darrie Schuckman, Brett Gilbert, Pat Depperschmidt and Ronnie Randa.
