Arlene Gilbert and Marlene Funk was a Tuesday visitor of Julia Zeller, Shorty Wierman and Marge Elias at the Rush County Memorial Hospital LTC.

Mike Karlin and Addie Mills enjoyed a week ago Saturday lunch at McDonalds. Addie then visited Jack Klee at Hays.

Verlene Wilson and Carolyn Thompson joined Bryan and Treva Bergquist, Audra and Devan in Manhattan over the weekend for tailgating and the KSU football game vs Texas Tech. We enjoyed the Wildcat Marching Band. On Sunday Bryan, Treva, Audra, Devan, Mike, Susan and Shannon Keith, Verlene and Carolyn attended church together at St. Isidore's and then had lunch together. It was nice to see Mr. and Mrs. Darrin Murray and family at the tailgating.

Francis Wierman died Saturday at Rush County Memorial Hospital LTC. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McCracken with Father Helms officiating. The rosary was at St. Mary's on Tuesday evening.

Addie Mills was a Saturday overnight guest of Jay Klee at Council Grove City Lake. They enjoyed dinner with Tom and Patty Klee Schmitt at their log cabin on Lake Kahola. Other guests were Tom and Patty's son Tysonm daughter in law Ashley, and grandson Walker.

Fr Rene returned back to Kansas October 12 after visiting his family in the Philippines. He said, “What a long trip home”. Glad he made it back to the US safe and sound.

A picture of Ron Baker was in the Hutch News saying that money is the key to his hopes. The NY Knicks have the limit of 15 guaranteed contracts on their roster, so to keep Baker they would need to eat money. Two fellas from the Knicks Blog wrote that they are pleasantly surprised at how good he has been, he is tough, attacks the basket, defends and can make spot threes.

Received a call from Wanda McCormick on Saturday, she said she really missed her friends in Kansas but enjoyed Texas and living close to her family.

Rose Diehl and Shirley Higgins attended funeral services for Wilma Naethe, mother of Nancy Naethe Baker in Topeka on Monday.

Our family all agreed that the wedding day of Kyra and Bryant was perfect.... family, friends, weather, church, music, dinner and dance.

The IGA Store in McCracken was chosen as a historical building in Rush County as it was built in the late 1800’s of native stone. Mike McMullen and Sonja Conner attended the in-service activity of project BEST at Pratt. This project explores ways of improving classroom instruction.
